Does Norcold RV Mini Fridge Require Inverter

Question:
2006 290 SEARAY AMBERJACK Hello I am looking to replace my refrigerator with this one .I have Norcold DC0051 dual voltage. so my question is do i need to install an inverter . or will it work on battery when i am hooked up to shore power? THANK YOU

Hi Michael; the Norcold RV Mini Fridge # NC97VR will run straight off of your 12V battery bank. You will not need to install an inverter to use the fridge. I'm sure you have a converter, which charges the batteries on shore power, and then the batteries will run the fridge since it is 12V. An inverter would only be required if the fridge ran off AC power only and you wanted to power it with the batteries when you aren't hooked up to shore power.
