Great question Jim! Don't worry, you won't be wasting any of you money since the Rich Solar lineup is extremely good quality, and is backed by a great warranty. We just had the pleasure of talking to the Rich Solar reps in person (shout out to George) and he explained the warranty and post-purchase support very well.
A solar kit like Rich Solar RV Solar Charging Kit w/ 6 Panels - 12V - 1,200 Watts # RS67VR consists of solar panels, controllers, and can be paired with a battery like Rich Solar Alpha 1 Pro Lithium Battery 100 AH # RS74VR or Rich Solar Alpha 2 Pro Lithium Battery 200 AH # RS84VR.
The batteries have a 10 year warranty, which is super awesome. He said it is pro-rated, so if it is about 7 years old and has some issues, they will give a certain percentage back to you even 7 years later!
The panels have a 10 year warranty as well.
The controllers have a 2 year warranty. Luckily this is the least expensive part in the kit, but electronics like this just simply don't have as long of a warranty as the heavier duty panels and batteries.
