Question:
Looking for 6000 pound winch for car hauling trailer. Manual crank.

Expert Reply:
Hi Michael; I'm sorry to say none of our manual winches are capable of handling that much weight since their primary use is your average boat trailer. The highest capacity we have is 3,800 lbs with the Curt # C45ZJ.
All of our winches with a line pull of 6,000 lbs or more are electric like the Bulldog Winch Trailer Winch # BDW10031. It does look like there are some out there but they're pretty pricey so you'll probably end up saving money with the electric winch and a battery.
Is there a specific reason you want a manual winch for the car hauler?
