Hello Eric,

The # K2R35DKG is Dacromet-coated, and the calipers are treated with KodaGuard. The # K2R35DS, on the other hand, is made entirely of stainless steel, hence the higher price. If you're in an area where road salt is common or if you're using these on a marine application like a boat trailer, I generally recommend spending a bit more on the # K2R35DS. Stainless steel offers much better long-term protection against corrosion.

What kind of trailer are you planning to install these on?

Boat trailer, salt water use. I went ahead and purchased the stainless steel version this morning. TY for answering my question.

@Eric My pleasure Eric, and great choice going with the stainless especially since you are going into salt water. We just take our Ranger out on fresh water here in Missouri which isn't so harsh. Where do you take you boat out at?
