Absolutely, Susan! The Rich Solar 400W RV Solar Panel Kit # RS97VR kit paired with a pair of 100Ah lithium batteries will comfortably power a 12V compressor fridge, a CPAP for 8 hours, and still have headroom for lights, fans, and charging electronics.

In good sunlight, that 400W kit can deliver 120–140Ah per day with its MPPT controller maximizing efficiency. If you're dry camping off-grid, this is a nice sweet spot for performance and value. Do you have any other electronics you plan to run?

What if I have furrion port and have a single 100 watt panel now? If I want to expand my system later with another 200-watt panel, can I still use the Furrion port, or would I need to wire directly to the controller or battery with a kit like this instead?

@Nick Great question Nick! The Furrion port is typically rated for up to 10 amps, which is suitable for about 200-watts of solar panel. If you plan to add another panel, the combined amperage could exceed the Furrion port’s safe limits. In that case, it's best to bypass the Furrion port and connect the panels directly to the charge controller using a parallel wiring setup. Then, run appropriate gauge wire from the controller to your battery bank. This setup will be safer and more efficient for handling the increased solar input. At that point, it may be more cost effective and safer to get a kit like the aforementioned # RS97VR.
