Anderson Wiring Kit for Charge Line on In-Bed Camper with Anderson Style Plug

Updated 09/02/2025 | Published 06/29/2025

Question:

I have a 2022 Nissan Frontier which includes a 7 pin and 4 pin outlets at the trailer hitch/bumper. Im trying to connect my pickup truck camper electricity to one of these connections to charge the camper battery while driving. I have an Anderson socket in the camper. I cant find an adapter that fits both the 7 pin female and anderson plug also female. Do you have this kind of plug/cord adapter that would work? I can send pics of the plug sockets if needed.

Hey Tracy, thanks for reaching out!

For an Anderson connector that can be hooked up to the battery on your 2022 Frontier, I recommend picking up the Bulldog Winch Rear Wiring Kit # BDW20026 which comes with 24' of 3 Gauge wire and 2 Anderson-type connectors. Typically, you're going to need a little bit of a boost to the power coming off of your vehicle battery to charge one in a camper, so you still may need something like the Redarc BCDC # 331-BCDC1225D, Fuses # 331-FK40, and additional wiring to get it all setup.

Are you looking to just maintain the charge level in your battery, or actually charge it while traveling?

Hey Tracy, did you decide to use the Bulldog Winch Rear Wiring Kit or the Redarc BCDC setup to charge your camper battery while driving? I’d love to know how it worked out for you, as it could help others in a similar situation.
