Can I Replace Just The Roller And Fabric On My Dometic Awning With Lipper Solera Replacements?

Updated 07/03/2025 | Published 06/26/2025

Question:

I have a Dometic 21 foot awning on my 2020 Flagstaff trailer. I think the model is 915NR21 301U. I think the motor is in the roller because its not on the end of the tube within the arms. So, my question is: will the LCV000211531 work on my system? My roller has a slight bend in it, creating rewind problems, and Id like to replace the roller and awning. Thanks!

Hey Marvin,

The Lippert Roller And Fabric # LCV000211531 is not confirmed to work with the Dometic arms that you have. The fabric on those awnings are considered universal and would be replaceable, but the roller is not a confirmed replacement for Dometic Awnings. You would either need to replace the entire awning assembly, or contact Dometic directly for the direct replacement for your awning. We do not carry the roller or fabric for Dometic Awnings.

What is the length of that awning you currently have?

That's disappointing, but I do appreciate your reply.

@Marvin I wish more things were just made in standard sizes so replacements were easier to find. Feel free to let me know if there is anything else you are needing/wondering.

Sorry to bother you again, but you mentioned replacing the entire awning system. How much of a pain would that be to do that? I guess as long as the new system covers the old holes and other markings it would work if installed properly. Then again that's not something I think I should tackle on my own!

@Marvin I would not say the installation itself is difficult. It is mounting a few brackets to the trailer/RV. The hardest part is just getting it all together, especially if you are needing one of the 20 foot awnings. It is definitely a project for multiple people but it is something you'd be able to knock out in a weekend. I attached a video of an installation for you to give you a better idea.
