Question:
I have a brand new 23foot Moomba Max surf boat. I love it but hate trailer jack that came with the boat trailer. Please see attached pictures for existing trailer jack. My old TIGE surf boat had a FULTON F2 jack on it. I loved that jack! I am now hoping to replace the jack on my new boat with the same FULTON F2 jack. But looks like the Adaptor kit sold for the weld-on F2 jack will not work with my trailer weld-on mount. Can you please advise if I cannot use the F2 on my boat, or if an adapter plate exists for the weld plate and screw type mount that is employed on my trailer? If the FULTON F2 jack is not an option for my trailer can you please recommend another jack similar to FULTON F2? Again, I really like the FULTON product line and hoping to stay with that vendor. The design of the F2 has the options and design I am looking for. Thank you!

Hey George, thanks for the pictures and congrats on the new boat. The The mount used by your Dutton-Lainson jack wouldn't be compatible with the Fulton F2 or any other brand of jack for that matter. This leaves you with a couple of options.
The easiest one will be to install the Fulton F2 Swing-Up, Wide-Track Trailer Jack, 8" Single Wheel, Sidewind, Bolt-On - 1,600 lbs item # F1413040134 it includes mounting brackets that attach to 3'x3" or 3'x4" trailer tongues. The Fulton F2 item # F1413020134 is a nearly identical jack and mounts but has two caster wheels.
A more complicated option, is to use the Fulton F2 Swing-Up Trailer Jack, Dual 7" Wheels, Sidewind, Weld-On - 1,600 lbs item # F1413060334. This jack comes with the adapter plate that can be welded to your boat trailer's frame.
Why do you hate the Dutton-Lainson jack so much?

Thanks Jered. I was afraid you were going to give me that answer. Looks like bolt on with C clamps is my only option for the F2 but I was hoping for something that fits the existing welded on plate. That Dutton-Lainson jack just feels like it is going to fall apart whenever I move the boat. Even on smooth even surfaces. It never looks plumb to me, does not switch easily, and is always leaning. I have tried tightening it and eventually it just starts to lean again. My gut tells me it is undersized for the boat but specs say otherwise, so not sure? The F2 is only rated 100 lbs more but I figured maybe it not would hurt to be over speced. I like its higher ratings, and not to mention my past experience with the FULTON F2. Thanks for the response. Let me think about it.
