What Prevents Internal Pin of Andersen Rapid Hitch from Falling Out

I just picked up a used Anderson Rapid Hitch. What keeps the Internal Pin for Rapid Hitch Ball from comming out.?

Hey Mike the replacement internal pin part # AM3440 can't back out because the only way out for it would be if the platform was separated from the shank. So as long as the assembly is altogether you wouldn't need to worry about it backing out when using it.
If you check out the attached review video for the pin you can get a better idea what I mean.
