Hello Tom, thanks for reaching out. The best option for a travel trailer like your 2009 Outback Sydney Edition 32BHDS. will be to add electric over hydraulic brakes. We should have the parts you need, but there is no way to look up your trailer to know exactly what will fit. The best way to determine that will be to take a closer look at your axle and the current hub setup.

If you can tell me the weight capacity of each axle, that will help to narrow things down. Take a look at your hubs and see if there is a number cast on the hub itself. In a lot of cases we can use this number to pull up your hub and bearing info to know what will fit your axle. Or if that fails you can remove a hub and get the bearing numbers or bearing ID.

Take a look at the article linked below in the "featured help information" section. It will be a great starting point for your project.

For an example, if your trailer is equipped with two standard 7,000 lb axles you can use the following:

- Hydrastar Disc Brake Kit w/ Actuator for Tandem Axle Trailers - 13" Hub/Rotor - 8 on 6-1/2 - 7K # HSE7K-T1

This comes with everything needed to convert a 7K axle over to disc brakes. You get all four hubs/rotors, calipers, brake lines and EOH actuator. I recommend running your electrical thru a junction box like part # e99011.

Then in your tow vehicle you will need a brake controller that is compatible with electric over hydraulic brakes, like the Tekonsha # 90195 which is what I recommend.

If you have a different axle let me know what you have and I am happy to recommend a conversion kit.

You can hit the reply button on this page and I will see it and get back to you.
