Question:
I want to use my curt bluetooth brake controller on my 1995 xj cherokee. I previously got the flat trailer wire which connects inside the cargo compartment wall, but I dont have any trailer wires connected outside the jeep. What do I need? Will it help keep my camper battery charged? Thanks

Hi Todd; are you saying you currently have 4-way wiring like the Curt # C59236? If not, you will need to start by adding a 4-way to your Cherokee. If you already have a 4-way, or once you add one, you will need to upgrade to a 7-way using the # ETBC7L. This comes with the adapter and 12V power wire required to power the Curt Echo # C51180. The 7-way will provide a maintenance charge for the battery on your trailer.

Hey Todd, did you have a chance to add the 4-way or upgrade to the 7-way for your Cherokee? I'm curious to know if it helped keep your camper battery charged, as it could give others confidence when setting up their brake controllers.
