Question:
The instructions you guys give for replacing the Bottom Jack Cover are: The Bottom Jack Cover LC23UD of the Lippert jack LC285318 has four screws in it that hold the top to it. Youll need to remove those screws first and take the top LC285160 off. Once the top is off you can then dismantle the bottom cover from the jack and slide it off. My question is how to dismantle the bottom cover and slide it off? I know you will have to disconnect the light. What else is there to dismantle? Since the cover has just a small hole in the bottom, it seems unlikely that you can just slide it off the top. But how else can I get it off? Also, do you sell replacement plugs for the two side holes? Thanks

Hey John, thanks for reaching out!
To replace the Bottom Jack Cover # LC23UD on your Lippert Electric Tongue Jack # LC285318, you'll need to remove the 4 bolts that hold the top to it, then remove the 2 screws that hold the motor to the vertical tube. You'll also need to disconnect the wiring to the switches, motor, and light, so I recommend taking a few pictures with your phone and/or making a schematic of your own to make it easier when you go to replace everything.
Once all of that is disconnected, you'll be able to lift everything out carefully and then lift the bottom cover up and off the tube, then do everything in reverse to install the new bottom cover and get your jack back in operational shape.
Let me know how your experience goes and any other tips/tricks you learn as well!
