    Yes, the Furrion Marine Speaker # FMS5B requires a cut out of 4-3/8" so you will have a bit of extra cutout left. The overall diameter is 6" for this speaker so you will need to measure the spread of the screw holes that your old speaker uses to determine if the screw holes will be covered. We do offer the Quest Marine Speaker # 292-100161 that you already have if you wish to replace it with the same speaker. You will need some Alpha Systems N2100 Alphaseal All Purpose Sealant # AL85KV....

    The Furrion Marine Speaker - Recessed Mount - 5" Diameter - 30 Watts - Black - Qty 1 # FMS5B used to be a 15 watt speaker back when it was manufactured under the item number 381537. It has since been replaced by the item number 110326 and is indeed 30 watts. I went out to our warehouse to confirm the wattage and have attached a picture of the speaker.

  • Recommenced Silicone Sealant To Use with Furrion Marine Speaker
    In order to help seal the Furrion Marine Speaker part # FMS5B to the trailer and prevent moisture from getting behind the speaker you can use some gasket maker, the Loctite RTV 598 High-Performance Silicone Gasket Maker part # LT37467 which will do a fine job. There are only two connections which use plug-in spade terminals so the swap should be super easy and you can just reuse your existing hardware.

  • Can Cover on 6" Diameter Furrion Marine Speaker be Removed
    The cover for the Furrion Marine Speaker # FMS5B isn't actually able to be removed. I reached out to my contact at Furrion who confirmed this for me. If you're having issues with this speaker then I'd first check the wiring connections and then possibly swapping this with another speaker that does work just to confirm whether the wiring or the speaker needs to be replaced.

    Based on the information you provided the Furrion Marine Speaker - Recessed Mount - 5" Diameter - 30 Watts - Black - Qty 1 # FMS5B are the perfect replacement. The cut-out dimensions for this speaker are 4-3/8" diameter x 1-9/16" deep and it has a 6" overall diameter just like your current speakers. This is also a 30 watt 4 ohm speaker just like yours.     I went out to the warehouse and took some measurements of the Furrion RV Outdoor Speaker # FMS5B. The inner diameter that you mentioned is 5" while the bolt holes measure 5-1/2" diagonally and 3-7/8" across from each other, as you can see in the attached picture.

    The newer Furrion Marine Speaker - Recessed Mount - 5" Diameter - 30 Watts - Black - Qty 1 # FMS5B now says 15 watts on the back of the speaker. With that said it is still a 30 watt speaker, but Furrion decided to put the minimum wattage instead of the maximum wattage though the ratings of the speaker stayed the same. I included a video of the # FMS5B for you to take a look at.

  • Can Television Power Furrion RV Indoor Speaker # FS3W
    The RCA output of your Furrion television only carries audio signal without the ability to power speakers. The Furrion RV Indoor Speakers # FMS5B are not powered so you'd need an amp to amplify the audio signal from your TV to power the speakers. So you'd need to run the RCA cables from your TV to a stereo like the part # JWM60A then run speaker wire from there to the speakers like part # FS3W.
