Question:

BandW 5th wheel hitch when unhooked leans to the driver side, is there a way to get it to sit level when empty, sits normal whin attached to the trailer.

Hey Dennis, can you move it from side to side by hand when the hitch is sitting in your bed without a trailer connected? It is designed to be able to tilt from side to side to allow it to articulate so as long as it still is able to move like it should I wouldn't worry too much about it favoring one side when not connected.

Yes it will move some, but the shock on the other side makes it very hard to move. But yes it does sit flat when connected. The reason I ask is there has been a couple times when the ground is leaning to the left which makes it difficult to get hitched.

@Dennis That's interesting but yeah I can see how that would be pretty annoying. Have you been lubricating the hitch at all?

@JamesonC Yes about twice a year With out the shock on it it tilts very easy. To me it appears the shock is pushing that side up. For the first year it set level when unhooked.

@Dennis It could be the shock has seen better days but that's not a part B and W offers us as a replacement part.
