Question:
I have a 2008 jayco 1207. The Dexter axle on it has a four inch axle. We are interested in switching axles to have the trailer ride higher. We go off-roading and would like to put larger tires on it. The current axle hub face measurement is 68.25 and spring center is 53, rated at 2500 capacity. Are there any options to swap out. I do have the spec sheet for the exact axle from Dexter if that helps. Hoping there’s a bolt on option. Thanks.

Hey Brian! We do not have a standard axle that matches those measurements and capacity. What I can offer is the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension which is ideal for off-roading. This eliminates the axle beam for better clearance, and upgrades you to an independent suspension. It also fits any trailer width so the hub face measurement doesn't have to be matched.
Since you mentioned off-road tires the best option would probably be the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension - Heavy Duty - Long Spindle w/ 2" Lift # TASR35HDS06 or Long Spindle - 4" Lift # ASR35HDS02. Both have an extra long spindle to accommodate wide, off-road tires. These use a heavy duty spindle so for hubs you need the # AKHD-655-6-EZ-K and for brakes # AKEBRK-7-SA and # BRKH12.
If you don't quite need all that for the tires there are also the standard 3,500 lb models # ASR3500S05 with no drop or # ASR3500S06 with a 4" drop. The hubs for these would be the # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K and then for brakes you need the # AKEBRK-35-SA and # BRKH10B. If you have any other questions feel free to reply below.
