Question:
I trying to determine what models between the 7000lb and 8000lb axel rating I should go with. I have a 2024 Keystone Montana 3941FO with 7000lb axels and a GVWR of 16810. Would the 8000lb set up be a better fit since it looks like to me I am pushing my limits. Thank you for your input.

Welcome back Carl! I definitely recommend going with the 8K Roadmaster Comfort Ride Leaf Spring Suspension Kit w/ Shocks item # RM-2460-2580. Like you said the 7,000 lbs kit is going to come up quite a bit short on your Keystone's overall capacity. Going with the 8k item # RM-2460-2580 will give you the additional support you're looking for.
The 8K Roadmaster item # RM-2460-2580 is designed to fit trailer's with 3" diameter axles like the ones on your Keystone Montana. You will also need two sets of the item # MR66ZR U-bolts to complete the installation. U-bolts are not included with the Comfort Ride Kits and you don't want to reuse your old ones.
What kind of issues are you running into in your travels that has you looking at the Comfort Ride upgrade?

We installed the Roadmaster comfort ride, on our 2024 Montana 3531RE, 16480 gvwr and upgraded from 7K springs to 8k springs. Trailer rides much smoother judging by what we used to have issues with after pulling on the inside of trailer and items bouncing around. Also installed the MorRyde X-factor braces while we were at it. Great upgrade, and all fit up very well. We did have to modify the X-factor to fit on the center hanger where the Roadmaster bolts onto the frame but I think must don’t add it to the center brackets. Thank you, E-trailer.

8K axles recommended for sure. Here is the writeup I did for my conversion with photos: https://kzfamilyforum.com/thread/4825/roadmaster-comfort-ride-install

Pretty easy to install. Make sure all the spring box bolts are installed before you torque the bolts. Also you might need a longer shock bar extension when installing. Once installed you notice a big difference in how much you feel the trailer I kept looking back to make the trailer was still attached. Refrigerator goods, pot and pans, can goods and plates seem to stay in place. Enjoy the new adventure.

I am trying to reduce the amount of stress on the frame that is caused while going over bridge aprons and pot holes. I am also trying to improve the ride quality while towing. Some of these road hazards can create quite a bit of up and down motion. It can feel like chucking but I think it is the suspension up down movement between the truck and camper. I have a 1 ton dually with air bags and typically run with 30lbs of air pressure. One question I have is that Roadmaster warns of not going too heavy on the springs that this can lead to a harsh ride, am I going too heavy? My last CAT scale reading on my axles were 13980lbs.

This is the upgrade I made to my toy hauler. I keep breaking the 3500 lb hangers and springs. It worked very good and pulled better. No problems with install either. I travel from Arkansas to Canada every year fully loaded and some. Keep in mind part of that RV weight rating considers a portion of that load on your truck. I run airbags on my truck. This is a game changer.
