Question:
Can I use this device to connect my tow vehicle to my Jeeps rear signal lights. I want to avoid splicing into the Jeep Harness wires. It seems that if I splice into the wires between the two plugs provided it would send the signal to each of the tail lights same as if I was towing a trailer. Please confirm or advise how I might accomplish this task. Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector Part Number: C55363

Hello Scott, thanks for reaching out. You are setting up to flat tow your Jeep, correct? If so, no, you cannot use the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C55363 for this purpose. This is for sending the vehicles turn signal and brake light signal to a trailer. So, it is completely different from a flat tow harness which is made for receiving a signal. Also, we would never recommend modifying a product like that, even if it could be made to work, which it can't. We get this question a lot and I can assure you a different product will be needed.
If you are needing plug-in flat tow wiring, the Blue Ox EZ Light Custom Plug-In Tow Bar Wiring Kit # BLU78CR is what you will need. I am not a fan of these custom tow bar wiring kits though. They are infamous for being unreliable. What I recommend instead is a diode kit like the Roadmaster # RM-15267 since it will be much safer and more dependable. This requires some splicing though, so if you must have a plug-in harness, the Blue Ox will be your best option.
