Replacement Shocks for 2019 Northwood Nash 29S
Updated 09/26/2025 | Published 04/21/2025 >
Question:
I have a 2019 Northwood Nash 29S that I need to replace shocks on. Stock shocks are Monroe 555001. Our weight fully loaded is probably a bit over 10K pounds. Any recommendations on a replacement shock? Thanks! Doug

Hey Doug!
Doing some research on the Monroe 555001 shocks, I'm pretty confident that the Lippert Heavy-Duty Shock # LC283280 will work well as a replacement for your Northwood Nash, and likely even an upgrade. It's designed for 3,500 to 7,000 pound axles so it has plenty of range, and has a compressed length of 8-5/8" and an extended length of 13-1/2".
If you're able to take a couple quick measurements of the existing Monroe shock, that will tell you for sure if this will fit in its place. Where are we heading with the camper this summer?
