Does Wisight 2.0 Camera System Have Better Reception than Previous Version

Updated 10/23/2025 | Published 04/12/2025

Question:

Hi, I am looking to replace my voyager WVOM541AP camera system on my 2019 19’ Airstream. After researching and reading the QandA, it seems that the best voyager solution is the ASA57YR. My TV is a 2021 Ford F150. Connectivity with the old system is always an issue, maybe due to the F150 aluminum body paired with the Airstream. Does the new Voyager system with WiSight 2.0 have the same connectivity issues with this TV and trailer combination? Does it require an extension to move the camera antenna to the front of the trailer to resolve connectivity issues or does the 2.0 upgrade address this? Thanks, Phil

Hey Phil, yes the Wisight 2.0 part # ASA57YR that you referenced will have noticeably better reception that the previous version that it sounds like you have now. They found a way to lock the connection between the camera and the monitor which allows it to block out interference in a way that it didn't do before.

Hey Phil, how did the Voyager WiSight 2.0 system end up working with your F150 and Airstream setup? Did the stronger connection help cut down on the interference you were seeing before? Your update could make it easier for others with the same combo.

@JamesonC thanks for following up. Yes, the WiSight 2.0 worked great. I didn’t experience any interference or latency while driving. It connected immediately and stayed connected throughout the drive. I am very happy with this purchase and its performance. Especially happy that it was a direct swap and no cutting or drilling was necessary.
