Question:
I am looking at the C17062 to put on a V-Nose enclosed trailer. I see the dimensions to the center of the chain, but wanted to confirm the fit with you. From the center of the coupler to the trailer is 32 which I think is enough clearance, but cutting it close.

Hey John! The # C17062 is to close to really know with only 32" from the coupler to the trailer body. The bars sit approximately 30" back (they measure 30-5/8") and that bracket is 4" wide so it would be another 2".
I'm assuming your 32" measurement is on the inside (which would be the short side) meaning you have a little more space available on the outside. Is that correct? What you can do is use the Chain Hangers for Curt Weight Distribution Systems # C17005. These bolt onto the outside of the frame which should give you the extra bit of clearance needed to install the WDH.

Hey John, how did things turn out with the Curt weight distribution system on your V-nose trailer? Did the bolt-on chain hangers give you the extra clearance you needed? Your update could make it easier for the next person working with a similar setup.
