Recommended Step Fenders for a Trailer w/ 12" Tires

Updated 10/23/2025 | Published 04/03/2025

Question:

I have a 2006 Spartan boat trailer. Not sure of model off hand. It has twelve inch tires. I lost one of the step on fenders. The brackets to attach the fenders are 20 wide 19 on center. Can you help me with a replacement that would work? I can send photos if that would help.

Hey Dan! Feel free to send those pictures directly to the address you receive this response from. I'll be happy to take a look at them.

For 12" tires we have the Fulton Single Axle Trailer Fender with Top and Side Steps item # F008582 in black or item # F008572 in white. These measure 7-1/2" wide x 33-1/2" long x 8-3/4" tall. These attach with the Galvanized Steel, L-Shaped, Bolt-On Brackets item # PF775-BKT-2. I have attached a picture below so you can see how to get them installed.

Are your fenders bolted on from the bottom of the mounting surface? We've ran into this issue with Spartan fenders before.

Hey Dan, how did things go with the Fulton fender and bracket setup for your Spartan trailer? Were the bolt-on brackets a good match for your mounting points? Your update could make it easier for others replacing similar fenders.

@JerredHThis fender was an exact match and I was able to attach it easily as the holes matched perfectly.
