Will Universal RV Drawer Slide Kit # 37270995 Allow Drawers to Slide Out in Transit

Question:

If I install this on a drawer in my RV to replace non-functioning side rails,, what stops the drawer from opening in transit?

Hey Denette, unlike some drawer slides the Universal RV Drawer Slide Kit # 37270995 doesn't have a bearing or roller setup inside of it that would allow it to slide out super easily. There's a decent enough amount of friction with this slide setup that it won't slide out on it's own and instead would take a decent amount of effort to pull the drawer out.

Hey Denette, how did the drawer slides work out in your RV after you replaced the old side rails? Your update could make it easier for the next person trying to keep their drawers secure while traveling.

@JamesonC The drawer slide did not work. The slide is set up to attach to a wall or cabinet behind the drawer in the center. There is nothing to connect it to since this particular drawer does not go all the way back due to plumbing.
