Do The Goodyear Endurance ST235/85R16 Radial Tires Come Pre-Balanced?

Question:

Hi folks, thanks for including this product in your catalog, I am looking forward to the usefulness of this pre-assembled product when replacing the tires on my fifth-wheel Alliance RV. The total cost is a pretty good value, all things considered. I do wonder if this wheel assembly was spin balanced at the factory when assembled? Does Lionshead assemble these? Also, what are the possible production dates on these tires? Thank you, Alex Hanks

Hello Alex, thanks for reaching out. The Goodyear Endurance ST235/85R16 Radial Tire w/ 16" Margay Aluminum Wheel # LH35VR is balanced high side to low side, but they are not spin balanced like car tires. Having them spin balanced is not required, but I have heard a lot of people say they feel it helps with safety margins, which I agree with. We do not balance or mount tires here at our warehouse, so these are assembled and balanced by Lionshead.

As far as the dates, we actually cannot guarantee a specific date code for the tires we ship. We usually move tires pretty quickly, so generally (this is not a guarantee) our tires would be dated within the last 12 months.

Our tire warehouse is climate controlled. According to tire manufacturers tires do not age in proper storage. The warranty date would start when you receive them.

Hey Alex, how did the Goodyear Endurance tire and Margay wheel combo work out on your fifth-wheel? It’d be great to hear if the balance felt smooth once you got them mounted. Your update could make it easier for others choosing the same setup.
