Hey Doug, thanks for reaching out!

The PullRite SuperGlide 5th Wheel Hitch # PUL73RR has a pivoting head in addition to the auto-sliding feature. As long as you have everything setup correctly on level ground then this will be able to handle the elevation changes you'll see on the road.

To keep the hitch from sliding I've got 2 different hacks:

1. There is a jam nut on the hitch that you can adjust to give it more resistance and keep the hitch from sliding back and forth when you aren't hitched up to your 5th wheel trailer. I've taken a clip from the instructions of the hitch and posted them to this answer page for your reference.

2. If you have a friend in need of work, you could pay them a few bucks each trip to ride in the back of your truck and hold onto the hitch head to keep it from sliding around. This isn't as popular of an option, but it could still work, and you'd be helping a friend out financially as well. (obviously I'm not being serious about this...but I feel like I need to make the disclaimer because you never know)

Let me know if there's anything else I can help you out with!

Hey Doug, how did things go with adjusting the jam nut on your SuperGlide hitch to keep it from sliding when not towing? Your results could really help others trying to fine-tune their setup.
