Is There Suspension Enhancement that Fits 2025 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4

Question:

I have a question about read suspension enhancement options for towing a 7k trailer on a 2025 Sierra AT4. Given the factor 2inch lift it is difficult to confirm compatibility of the Sumo Springs, Road Active Suspension and others. Some of your QA suggest they dont fit and others do. Can you provide me all of the options i really dont want to have to install airbags.

Hey Alex, would you consider an air bag kit? We have the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 part # AL57388 that is a confirmed fit for the AT4 models of your 2025 GMC Sierra 1500 if so. Let me know if that would work or not.

I purchase Sumo Springs and I am able to confirm they do fit AT4 and trail boss. In fact, the directions even include installation notes for these trims. Some of the technician notes on your website indicate they do not fit, but this is false. That said, customers should be aware there are a couple of height adjustment options. Although you have to remove the factory 2 inch riser from the axle to install, if you reinstall it after the sumo springs are in place you left with about 1 inch of air gap, which is what they recommend. If you’d like to preload, you can also add the 1 inch spacer which removes the air gap. This may be appropriate if you have a extremely heavy load all the time. As a third option, you can include the 1 inch spacer, but keep the 2 inch riser off, which creates a 2 inch air gap. This will have less of an impact on reducing SAG, but still offer some support when heavily loaded and experiencing hard bounces. Note the factory bump stop has about a 4-5inch air gap.
