Hello, I am looking at the Curt 17062, I am towing a snowmobile trailer that weighs 1750 empty and 2600 loaded. is this the right product for this trailer ? The issue is it is so tall it gets pushed around in the wind very easy when I am using a F 150 to tow it

Hey Jered, thanks for reaching out. We do have a weight distribution system that will work for your snowmobile trailer, but the Curt # C17062 you were looking at is not correct. This is intended for trailers with a tongue weight around 800-1000 lbs. Your tongue weight is probably more like 300-400 lbs. So this would be rated much too high for your trailer. There would not be enough tension on the spring bars so you would not get good sway control.
What I recommend instead is the Blue Ox TrackPro Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control # BLU36FR. This is made for trailers with a tongue weight between 200 and 600 lbs, and your trailer will be right within this range. This means there will be adequate tension on the spring bars so you will see effective ride leveling and sway control. These Blue Ox systems are known for being durable and user friendly, so they come highly recommended.
