Over-Under Kit, Shocks, and Upgraded Equalizer for Toy Hauler

Updated 10/27/2025 | Published 03/02/2025

Question:

I have a toy hauler camper with 4000lb tandem axles, 2 1/2 dia. Between U-bolts Could you please give me the part numbers for: 1. Shock kit 2. Dexter EZ Flex Suspension My equalizer holes are 7 3/4 center to center. What parts do I need? Just bought a toy hauler tandem axle. You are sending me the shock kit I need. Also doing an over-under on the axles 2 3/8 axle 2 1/2 Between U-bolts. Dont think I need the whole Over-Under kit, just the part that goes over the axle to keep it from twisting. Can you also give me that part number? Thanks!

Hey Kevin! I didn't see an order yet but it sounds like you already got some shocks based on your 2nd question. I went ahead and added it below your 1st question above. If you still need shocks you can use the Roadmaster Comfort Ride Shock Absorbers # RM-2450 which are designed for 2-3/8" axles. For the over-under conversion kit I would still get the full kit # K71-384-00 so you aren't reusing old U-bolts and plates.

Since your current equalizers measure 7-3/4" on center you need the Dexter E-Z Flex Suspension Kit # K71-653-00. This kit matches your measurements exactly which is what you want. The # K71-652-00 you were looking at is too short at 5-3/4" so it would throw off your suspension geometry.

Hey Kevin, how did the Roadmaster shocks and the Dexter E-Z Flex kit work out on your toy hauler? Did the full over-under kit give you the setup you were looking for? Your update could make it easier for the next person working on a similar suspension upgrade.
