High-Low Adapter for 2008 Country Coach Magna Motorhome Towing Mini Cooper S
Updated 02/27/2025 | Published 02/23/2025 >
Question:
I have a 2008 Country Coach Magna Motorhome. The hitch receiver is 2"x2" and the coach can supposedly tow 15,000 lbs. I have no intention of towing that much. I bought a tow car, Mini Cooper S that was already prepped for towing with a Roadmaster Falcon2 set-up, including an RVI Brake3. Car is roughly 2500-2800 lbs. My question is regarding the hitch height. The receiver on the motorhome is about 21 inches from the ground to the bottom, about 22 inches to the center of the receiver. The tow attachment points on the car are about 14.5 inches from the ground at the center. What's the best adapter to use for the height difference? Thanks. -NS

Thank you for providing that information. Also, sorry you never heard back from your original question. With your receiver at 22" and a base plate height of 14-1/2" you need the Roadmaster High-Low Adapter for Tow Bars # RM-048-8. This has a drop of 8" putting you right in the middle of the safe zone which ranges from 3" above level to 3" below level.
