Recommended MoRryde Suspension Upgrade for a Tandem Axle Trailer

Updated 10/30/2025 | Published 02/19/2025

Question:

Hello there. Got a question in regards to the Morryde X-factor. I think this is the way we wanna go to improve ride and handling. We have a 2018 Dutchmen Coleman Lantern 1805RB tandem axle. Once the weather warms up we wanna add the Morryde Alltrek 4000 along with the heavy duty shackles. Been seeing a lot of talk about the Morryde X-Factors so we wanna add atleast 2 during the suspension up grade. Before I order can you tell me if I am looking at the correct ones and is there anything on the camper that could be an issue come install time ? Thanks

Hey Rodney, it sounds like you've done your homework! That MoRryde set up you referenced is definitely going to upgrade your Dutchman's suspension and make towing it more comfortable. You'll want to take two measurements before ordering though because I do not have a database that tells me your trailer's axle spread or the length of your shackle straps.

There's two different MORryde AllTrek 4000 Equalizers and which one you need will be determined by how far apart your axles are. If they're 33" apart from center to center you'll want item # MR89DR. If they're 35" apart you'll need item # MR29DR.

The MORryde AllTrek 4000 Equalizers sit inside the middle hanger like a standard equalizer so you'll want to use the MORryde X-Factor Crossmember for Standard Frame Hangers item # MR33WR, you were looking at.

You'll need to take another measurement to determine the correct wet bolt kit. I have attached a picture below that will show you were to measure. You will either need the item # MR46ZR with 2-1/4" shackles or item # MR76ZR with 3-1/8" shackles. The correct kit is the one that matches the length of your existing shackles. This comes with wet bolts, bronze bushings, and 1/2" thick shackles.

I have linked a few installation videos below so you can see how to get these parts set up. If you have any additional questions feel free to reach out to me directly in the comment box below.

Hey Rodney, how did things go with the MORryde AllTrek 4000 and X-Factor crossmember on your Coleman Lantern? Were the axle and shackle measurements what you expected? Your update could make it easier for others planning the same suspension upgrade.
