Recommended Lifting Blocks for a Slopped Driveway
Updated 02/20/2025 | Published 02/17/2025 >
Question:
Hi, I have a 28 ft enclosed trailer with a hydraulic Jack on the tongue that I park on a down slopped driveway. I raise the trailer about 27 inches to get the front high enough to load and unload my car using 3 large wood blocks to get the height needed. I’m getting suspect of the blocks for fear that they could cause a side to side sway problem. Do you have any other solution suggestions that would be suitable for my situation? Thanks!

Hey Mac! If you're using 2x4's the tallest option I have for you is the Ultra-Fab Leveling Blocks item # UF48-979052 that you were looking at. They're 1-3/8" tall and you're going to be limited to stacking them five high. This will give you just below 7" of lift and will be pretty sturdy compared to the wood you're using.
How tall are the boards combined that you are currently using?

Thanks Jerred, each of the 3 boards I use are about 6 inches tall. The Ultra-Fab’s don’t look to be able to reach that height - unless I use something as a base under them? Let me know your thoughts. Mac
