What Would Happen if Curt Friction Sway Control Installed at Shorter Distance

Question:
If I mount the Kurt friction/sway bar at 22 instead of the recommended 24 will there be any problem other than a reduced turn or back up angle? Also there was no information on the adjustment of the bottom less or more nut? Thanks for your reply.

Hey Patrick, that is correct. If you were to install the Curt friction sway control bar part # 17200 at a shorter distance it would affect the ability to make tight turns. It's hard to say to what degree it would be affected though.
If the adjustment is too tight it will feel really stiff behind you and will make a popping sound most likely. If too loose it will not feel effective at all.
