What is the Bolt Hole Spacing on the Demco Trailer Coupler DM69FR?

Updated 10/30/2025 | Published 02/15/2025

Question:

My current 1999 butler LT1014 flatbed construction trailer has a 7” wide 4 hole flat plate style pintle adjustable coupler. It looks like the holes are 5 or 5 1/8” horizontal and 4” vertical. I am trying to replace the pintle hitch with a 2 5/16” coupler but haven’t fount one with that bolt spacing. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Hey Nat! I am sorry but all of our 2-5/16" ball couplers like Demco item # DM69FR, you were looking at, have the standard 4-1/2" on center mounting bolt pattern.

Hey Nat, were you able to find a 2-5/16" coupler that matches the bolt spacing on your Butler flatbed trailer? Knowing what ended up fitting could help others trying to replace a pintle hitch with a similar setup.
