My lockrack surfboard rack was just installed and the whistling it makes is extremely loud. Is there any way to change this?

Hey Patrick, thanks for reaching out. I know what you mean about the whistling noise. I used to have a similar carrier on my Sienna, and the road noise was definitely noticeable. To be honest, there is really not a way to change this. One thing you can try is adding a wind fairing such as part # Y05017 which is 40" long. We could do a longer one if needed to match the length of your crossbars. This helps deflect air away from the crossbars. It may reduce the whistling, but you are still going to have road noise. There is no way to get rid of it entirely. In our Sienna I would just turn the music up until I couldn't hear it anymore. I wish I had better news for you but this is just the nature of these roof racks and kayak carrier. They are noisy.
