Looking To Add Manual Single Step To 2019 Jayco Redhawk
Updated 11/03/2025 | Published 01/25/2025 >
Question:
I have a 2019 Jayco Redhawk SE 22c class c motorhome with a Kwikee electric single step. When the previous owner had the motorhome, the step was damaged and does not work. I would like to replace it with a manual step. The current step has the following demensions: The top plate is 24.25 in wide by 10 in deep. Horizontal bolt holes are 20 in on center and the vertical bolt holes are 7.50 in on center. I have not found a manual step to match those demensions. I contacted Lippert and they suggested a single manual step part 432678 and also told me an outrigger would be needed, as well. I found an outrigger on your website part LC301704, but none of the holes appear to match up with what I need. Also, in your description it says this outrigger is Not for use with a single steel manual pull-out step. I dont understand why it would not work with a single step but would with others. Is there any way I can easily mount the single step 432678 to my motorhome to match up with my existing bolt mounting hole demensions? If not, do you have any recommendations? Thank you.

Hello Steve, thanks for getting in touch. We are not aware of any to get the Lippert Manual Pull-Out Step # LC432678 to match up with the bolt holes on your RV. I wish there was a better solution here but it sounds like some modification will be required in order to complete this project. If I were you I would take the motorhome to an RV tech and have them take care of the required drilling/modifications. If the folks at Lippert gave you the OK to use the outrigger steps with the single step then it will be fine to use.

Hey Steve, how did things go with mounting the manual pull-out step on your Redhawk? Were you able to make the needed modifications or get help from an RV tech? Your update could make it easier for others working on a similar step replacement.
