Question:
Hello. I have a 2004 Chevy avalanche 2500 that has a brand new prodigy p2 brake controller that I just installed. For my trailer it didnt have brakes on it so I installed the Kodiak disc brakes and I converted it to a 7 way from a 4 way. I have the etrailer junction box for the 7 way along with the hydrastar 1600 psi brake actuator. All components are brand new and is wired correctly. My issue is that I only get a click noise from the actuator. I did the battery test and the actuator works during the test. My brake controller shows gains when I hit the brakes but still just the click. I see that hydrastar has the adapter module but my truck never had a factory tow package on it in the first place. Hopefully its something simple that Im overlooking but any advice with this should help. Thank you

Hey Jeremey, did you put the P2 # 90885 into hydraulic mode? It needs to be in this mode to work with electric over hydraulic actuators like what you have. Check out the picture I attached with instructions on how to do this and let me know if that takes care of it.

Hey Jeremey, did switching the Prodigy P2 into hydraulic mode get your Hydrastar actuator working properly? Your update could make it easier for the next person setting up a similar brake system.
