Hey Jeff,

I spoke with Dexter and they stated they don't have a preferred fluid so you could go with any hydraulic fluid that you prefer with the Dexter Self-Contained Hydraulic Jack- Square Tube # DX72CR. With some of their other self-contained hydraulic jacks in the past they recommended Dexron III ATF so it's likely going to be a good match for the # DX72CR as well.

I do see you have the Bigfoot Hydraulic Jack w/ Manual Override # BF98FR on order which calls for 3 quarts of Dexron III ATF only to be used. If you have any other questions please feel free to comment below and I'd be happy to help.

Yes, the Dexter Self-Contained Hydraulic Jack #DX72CR does come with a manual hand pump that can be used as a backup in the event of hydraulic malfunction.
