Hey Richard, thanks for reaching out. Those old VW vans are pretty sweet, but sadly, there is no custom fit hitch made for this van. The only way to add a trailer hitch would be to use a universal adjustable hitch like the Curt # 13703. This has adjustable flanges that can be made to fit frames between 22" and 72" wide. It has a 2" receiver and a 3,500 lb towing capacity. It can be bolted or welded on. What most folks do with these is take it to a welder so they can fabricate something to fit. With no custom fit hitches, having someone customize something for you is the only option. Feel free to reach out and comment below with any questions.
