Camera Backup System Recommendation for a 33' 5th Wheel RV
Updated 11/03/2025 | Published 01/13/2025 >
Question:
Hi I have had 2 previous Wireless Back-up cameras. I have a 33ft 5th wheel attached to a long bed crew cab truck. What has worked best is a monitor with a external antenna. What do you suggest

Hey Fred,
The backup cameras we carry all have an antenna that sits directly on the monitor. If you know how to modify things so make an extension, then I suppose you can go that route.
The best option we have for your setup is the Rear View Safety Backup Camera System with Trailer Tow Quick Connect Kit # RVS-770613-213 because it gives you a hardwired connection from the monitor back to the camera, plus it has a quick disconnect system from the truck to the trailer so your connections are simple to make.
