Will Agri-Cover SnowSport LT Snowplow Work With 2008 Jeep Wrangler Sport With 19" Hitch Height?

Can I use this model plow on my 2008 Jeep Wrangler Sport? The distance from the ground to the middle of the receiver is 19inch which I understand is an issue. However, I found a trailer hitch adjustment mount that will allow me to lower the receiver by 5.5. Would this work?

Hey Wayne, thanks for reaching out. The Agri-Cover SnowSport LT Snowplow cannot be used with a drop hitch like in the manner you described. Drop hitch adapters effectively cut your hitches carrying capacity in half, so that kind of setup would be much too unstable for a snow plow. Any significant force would likely cause the drop hitch adapter to fail, or worse. So sadly, due to your hitch height it sounds like this plow will not work with your 2008 Jeep Wrangler Sport.
A better option would be the Detail K2 Elite Snowplow for 2" Hitches # K2AVAL8219ELT wince it has an electric actuator and adjustable blade

Thanks for the reply. I'll look at the other plow, but I would have to add a front hitch for that to work.
