Recommended Trailer Wire Harness For A 2021 Toyota Highlander Platinum Hybrid

Question:

Hey I have a 2021 Highlander platinum hybrid and looking to install the drawtite hitch and not sure which wiring set up I need. I see that my vehicle does have some wiring underneath but I know it needs the converter that installs inside the vehicle. Any help you can give would be great! Thanks, Paul

Hey Paul,

To determine if you have the factory tow package you'll need to pop out the trim panel with cup holders in the back cargo area on the driver's side. You'll see a white 10-pin connector in there once the panel is out of the way. If the connector is plugged into something then you do have the factory tow package and would need the # TK74FR. If there's nothing plugged into that connector then you'll need the # TK99FR instead, which will come with a converter to plug into that connector.
