Question:

I bought the Curt hitch for my 2024 Ford Bronco. It doesnt seem like there is an easy place to mount the 7 and 4 pole mounting bracket on this hitch. After getting it installed I was wishing I went with a hitch that came with a bracket mounting spot. Any recommendations about how to best install a mounting bracket Part Number: HM40975 with the Curt hitch?

Hi Stephen; the design and size of the Curt # C76WR really doesn't allow for a mounting point for the # HM40975. The only option to mount the bracket is on the bumper beam next to the hitch or on the plastic as seen in the picture below where another customer mounted a 4-way bracket.

Hey Stephen, how did things go with mounting the 7- and 4-pole bracket on your Bronco’s bumper beam or plastic panel? Your update could make it easier for others trying the same Curt hitch setup.

@RobinH, I ended up mounting the pole bracket on the plastic bumper with screws. It works fine, but for folks that like a rock solid connection, you won't be getting that. I am pretty particular about the details though and in the end this installation looks fine and gets the job done.
