Air Bags for 2016 Ram 2500 With 2" Risers

Updated 11/17/2025 | Published 12/20/2024

Question:

I have a 2016 Dodge Ram 2500 with Carli 3.25” lift on front that lift doesn’t raise the rear. I have 2” risers for the shocks that I would like to install in the rear to level the vehicle. I am also looking to install airbags for towing as the chocks are way too soft for towing weight

Hi Joseph; I recommend adding the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate Air Helper Springs with Internal Jounce Bumpers # AL88289 to your 2016 Ram 2500. With the risers you may need to add spacers but there is no way to be sure without measuring. You will need to measure the distance between the mounting surfaces and subtract the air spring design height (6") to find out if you need the 2" spacer # AL52420.

I added a diagram below along with an installation video for your reference.

Hey Joseph, how did things go with the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 setup on your Ram 2500? Were you able to get the right spacing figured out with those 2-inch risers? Your results could really help others working on a similar lift and airbag combo.
