Can Load Resistors Be Grounded Straight To The Chassis?

Updated 11/17/2025 | Published 12/18/2024

Question:

good morning. can the load resistor be grounded straight to the chassis or does it need to be tapped into the ground wire? what im looking to do is mount all the resistors under the hood off the fusebox harness and just ground the other end to the chassis, making a clean install and better cooling. thanks for your time

Hey Christopher, thanks for reaching out. The Load Resistors # DI34ZR can absolutely be grounded to the frame/chassis. Just find a spot where you can ground to good clean metal with no rust or paint.

Hey Christopher, how did your setup under the hood turn out with the load resistors grounded to the chassis? Your results could really help others planning a similar clean install.
