Axle Flip Kit for TDE 49936 3,500 lb Axle

I have TDE 49936 3500lb axles on a car trailer. I’d like to find an axle flip kit. Also, I’d like to see if there are any axles that I could swap that are heavier duty that could hold more weight.

Hi Mike; since it is a 3,500 lb axle the diameter is likely 2-3/8" which means the # K71-384-00 you looked at is the correct kit. Occasionally they can have a 3" diameter so I recommend checking to be sure. If it is 3" you need the # K71-385-00 instead.
If you want to swap out the axle the next size up is a 5,200 lb. You would need to match your current hub face measurement. Keep in mind, adding a higher capacity axle will not increase the capacity of the trailer. Even if you swap out the axle, hubs, wheels, tires, and leaf springs the overall capacity remains the same.
