Question:
I have a 2016 Montana 3611 RL Legacy 5th wheel. It was parked for most of its life until we bouht it 2 1/2 years ago. I would like to replace/upgrade the leaf springs and wet bolts It has stock Morryde 4000 equalizers. Once that is done, I want to get the Road Master Comfort Ride Shocks. Where do I start to get the correct leaf springs and wet bolts?

Hi Jay,
There unfortunately isn't a guide to tell us what leaf springs are on your trailer so you'll need to measure the length of your current springs and check the axle for its capacity. To measure you'll need to lift one side of trailer by the frame and let the axles hang. Then you'll measure from the center of one eyelet to the center of the other eyelet. That length along with the axle capacity will tell us what you need.
For the wet bolts we'll also need to know the length not including the bolt head. The length can vary depending on how thick your shackle straps are.
For the Comfort Ride Shocks you'll also need that axle capacity to pick out the right kit:
3,500-lb Axles # RM-2450
5,200-lb to 7,000-lb Axles # RM-2460
8,000-lb Axles # RM-2470
I've attached an installation video I made for the Comfort Ride as well as a video I made where I go over measuring and replacing suspension components to help you with this process.

Hey Jay, were you able to get the measurements for your leaf springs and wet bolts on the Montana? Once you had those numbers, did you find the right setup for your suspension upgrade? Your update could make it easier for the next person working on a similar trailer.
