Parts Needed to Flat Tow 2017 Ford C-Max and 2018 Chevy Sonic

I am considering purchasing a car to tow behind by Winnebago View RV. Can you tell me the recommended parts to setup a 2017 Ford C-max Energi vs a 2018 Check Sonic ? Can I get the installation done at your location?

Hi Lars; the setups will be pretty similar between the two vehicles aside from the base plate kit but overall the C-Max will require less parts. Flat towing requires a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, wiring, and a supplemental brake system. For the parts that will work for both vehicles I recommend the following:
-etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar # e34ZR (includes safety cables)
-Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo Flat Tow Brake System for RVs w/ Hydraulic Brakes # SM99251
For the C-Max base plate kit you can use the # DM9518305. The Sonic depends on whether you have the Sedan or Hatchback and which engine you have. If you get the Sonic and can get me that information I will find the right base plate kit. For wiring on the C-Max you need the # RM-15267. For the Sonic you need # RM26FR and then various fuse bypasses depending on whether or not you have keyless access.
