Will Roadactive Suspension Kit for 2024 Ford F-150

Updated 11/17/2025 | Published 11/28/2024

Question:

I have a new 2024 F-150 4x4. It has the two leaf rear spring set up. Its the best riding Ford Ive ever owned and dont want to mess that up. I have a 2000 slide-in camper and want some extra support. It currently s in the rear 2.75inch loaded. Question: The advertisements for the RAS systems state that do not interfere with the spring pack while the vehicle is unloaded. Yet, I read that when they are installed, they raise the hitch from a half inch to an inch or more! I see that as a contradiction, please help me out with what really happens. Thank you.

Hey Jim, so it really comes down to the spring tension/adjustment you go with on the Roadactive kit # RAS3611-HD. If you crank down on the tension yes it will raise the unloaded ride quality. But you should note that even when using more spring tension this is not known to negatively affect ride quality which is why it's so nice.

Hey Jim, how did things turn out with the RoadActive Suspension kit on your F-150? Did the ride stay as smooth as you hoped after adjusting the spring tension? Your update could make it easier for others looking to balance support and comfort with a camper load.
