Hello! Im in need of a weight distribution setup for my 2019 Ram truck and my 16 ft trailer I use to haul a race car and equipment / tools in. The problem is the trailer tongue is only about two feet long and it doesnt appear to have enough length to install the brackets and chains or bars. What do you recommend? Hey David,
The B&W Continuum Weight Distribution System # BW78FR is exactly what you need. This system only requires a small amount of space on your trailer tongue and doesn't have the same length requirement that a traditional weight distribution hitch would. You'll mount the cylinder brackets just behind the trailer jack and the pump can go just behind that on the driver's side of the frame.
This system has a tongue weight range of 600lbs to 1,600lbs, which will allow you to safely tow the trailer loaded or unloaded. Once you couple up to the trailer you'll just need to pump the handle to increase the pressure and level your ride out. No more pinching your fingers or struggling to get a spring bar up into the frame brackets.
