Can etrailer Square 2-Speed Jack w/ Crank Be Connected In Tandem

Updated 10/30/2025 | Published 01/31/2025

Question:

CAN THE TJD2SP-12000SP-F 2 SPEED JACK BE CONNECTED IN TANDOM WITH JACK ON OPPOSITE SIDE OF TRAILER? IF SO WHAT WOULD BE PART FOR OTHER JACK? OR IS THERE A BETTER OPTION? I NEED TO REPLACE JACKS ON AN EQUIPMENT TRAILER MAX WEIGHT LOADED PROBABLY AROUND 16,000 LBS. I WANT TO INSTALL A 2 SPEED TANDOM JACK SETUP. THANKS

Hey Terry! Yes, the Square 2-Speed Jack w/ Crank # TJD2SP-12000SP-F can be connected in tandem. This will be the lead leg and the follow leg will be the # TJD-12000SP-F2. You can discard the handle on the follow leg. The one thing we don't have is the cross shaft which you would have to make. You can get everything you need from a local hardware store to put the shaft together just like another customer did in the picture below.

Hey Terry, how did the tandem setup with the 2-speed jacks work out on your equipment trailer? Were you able to make the cross shaft using hardware store parts? Your update could make it easier for others planning a similar setup.
