Is there a back plate or other backing material that you guys recommend using with this tie down anchor?

Hi Daniel,
A steel backing plate is recommended for the surface mount Brophy D-Ring Tie Down Anchor # LRB1. We don't have one specifically for this so you'll have to find it locally at a hardware store, or we have options that do come with backing plates, the Brophy D-Ring Tie-Down Anchor with Backing Plate # DR1S or recessed Brophy D-Ring Tie Down Anchor with Backing Plate # RR5K.
